Sellers description:
This ’66 E-Type Series 1 Roadster is a great project car to be restored to your specs.
I am listing this ‘66 XKE for my dad. He has owned it since ’67 and I have the title. The 26,814 odometer reading is accurate and the car is totally original with all parts still on the car. I have confirmed that all numbers match and the plate is there with #’s. I did not check the #s on the trans. but I know it is the original. I have pix of the head and frame #s and have checked the block #s. As you can see in some of the pix the car was originally red. Both floor pans are rusted through and also the battery compartment (shown in pix). There is also sporadic surface rust. Windshield is cracked. The car was in driving condition when it was parked for the last time in 1980. It was parked because of the rusted out floor pan and has been garaged since. Frame is solid, doors shut without rubbing and they latch closed fairly easily, never been in an accident, bonnet (hood) closes and latches good, the headlight lenses and chrome frames are both good, the boot (trunk) springs open when released, stay’s open and closes tight. Car does roll easily, brakes are not froze, I pushed the car around the garage myself to take pix. The trail arms seem to be pretty solid. The sills are good and the car still has it’s structural integrity. The trunk is solid with some surface rust. I have the driver and passenger inner door handles and some various interior parts. There is no shift knob. It has the original radio but missing the volume knobs.

I have tried to explain everything to the best of my knowledge.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
