ehicle Description
Hello everybody and thanks for looking at my auction. This time up is a 1964 Jaguar Series 1 Roaster with a Chevy V8. 327 , Auto conversion. We do not have the original engine but we do have a Jaguar 3.8 engine and Trans available. The Vin plate is missing off the car so the car was assigned a Florida Reassignment plate and it is FLA33512. The car has the jag wire wheels. Paint needs to be striped and the original color of the car was red. Minor rust on the right side of the car but is structurally strong. Good floorboards and would make a great restoration project. The series 1 is the most sought after of the XKE’s series.
Front frames have been cut extensively to put V8 into car. No original gauges in the car either. All are either Autometer (tach & speedo) or little VDO gauges for the center panel ones. Had to scrape 1/8 of bondo off the top of the picture frame top to get to the car number stamped in there. This auction says the car is a 1964 but the 1E11948 number on the top of the picture frame does not agree with that. I was not able to locate the body number in the car anywhere.

Car has some aftermarket A/C unit installed into the passenger's side of the car under the dash so if a passenger with legs and knees ever road in the car I am not sure where they would have put them.
