Sellers comment:
You are looking at a mint 1966 Jaguar XKE Series 1 roadster. We recently acquired it from the from the gentleman who owned it since 1979. We have receipts from 1983 onward and with the title, we can document the mileage as authentic. The car was resprayed in 1980 for the previous owner and a very minor touch up for us by our painter when we brought it in to our shop. We also have the factory hardtop that comes with it. We have run it through our shop (we are a vintage car restorer) to put the finishing touches on an unmolested original car. The interior is original, and the head has never been off the engine, that's how original it is! We put brand new Dayton 72 spoke wires and Michelin Red lines in keeping with originality of the car. (It had oversize wheels and tires, a common upgrade.) The top is less than two years old and is flawless. There is also a nearly complete tool roll (tire pressure gauge missing) and boot cover for the top as well. The car is completely tuned and ready for your enjoyment.
Vehicle Condition
Thr car runs as good as it looks. This is a magnificent driver that would do well at the concours level also. I would rate the the car a strong #2 example (#1's are trailer queens!). This is not a restored car! Except for paint, it is an extremely original example. The car also passes Pa. state inspection
