This superb 4.2-litre 'Series 1' E-Type roadster was sold new via Jaguar Cars, New York. Its first owner was one Anthony Leon Jr, and the accompanying Jaguar Heritage Certificate also reveals that the car was delivered finished in Carmen Red with black interior trim and matching hood.
This E-Type is presented fresh from the completion of a thorough restoration undertaken between January and December 2016. Works carried out include minor bodywork repairs and a bare metal re-spray in Gunmetal Grey; full rebuild of the chassis; complete overhaul of the engine and transmission; test and rebuild of the original electrics; and an interior re-trim in dark red leather. A logbook recording the restoration process is available, and the car also comes with related invoices, full previous owner history, Netherlands registration papers, and the aforementioned Heritage Certificate.
