Current bid $3,605 reserve not met, 3 bids 6 days left in auction. 64k miles.
Sellers description:
1966 JAGUAR XKE- SERIES 1 - E TYPE - ROADSTER :
This particular E-Type (OTS or Open Two Seater) is a magnificently restored example. It is equipped with the desirable 4.2-liter engine, triple carburetors improved braking system and most importantly, the all four speed synchromesh gearbox, as per its late Series I specification.
The restoration was performed by Buckingham Motors Jaguar specialists in Dallas, Texas. Exterior is finished in Red, with a black leather interior and soft top. The mechanical systems have been restored to original spec and serviced; an improvement on the cooling system had been made by professionally fitting a high capacity aluminum radiator and high output alternator for dependable electric performance as well the exhaust manifold has been powder coated and especially designed to remove heat from the engine. Additionally, the spoked wheels have been chromed over stainless steel for lifetime rust free assurance. Everything functions as designed with excellent compression and performance. Everything is fully detailed to show the high standards, including the engine bay, and the chrome and trim are exceptional as well.
The car runs drives and handles very well with all systems working properly. Its chassis and engine numbers match with the original Manufacturer's Warranty Card Documents (included).
Since the car was originally sold in 1966 it has had only three Texas owners and it has remained in the state, always garaged, well treated, properly maintained and never rusted.
