I was the original owner of this car. Bought it from England-had it shipped to Norfolk, Va. Moved to Austin Tx--sold it in 71. Last I heard it was in St Louis area. If you own it, would love to talk to you--e-mail me.

I would love to know whatever happened to this car. It was my first Jag and has many dear memories for me. If you have it or know its' whereabouts, I would really appreciate hearing from you.

    Thanks

I was the first owner of this car. Bought it from the Donald Healey Motor co in mid 66. Had it shipped to Norfolk, Va. Drove it 4.5 years all over the US--sole it in austin, Tx in 71. Have tried to find it to no avail. Bought another 66 in 89--restored it to look exactly like this one. If anyone knows anything about 1E 13007, please let me know--Tom Felts

    Four-Speed Manual Transmission

    Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate

Private Party or Dealer: Private Party

    Lot #176868

This 1966 Jaguar XKE Series I roadster is a non-running project that came finished from the factory in Cream over a black interior, and it is equipped with a replacement 4.2-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a black soft top, 15″ wire-spoke steel wheels, power-assisted disc brakes, triple windshield wipers, an aftermarket radio, and a heater. The car is believed to have been taken off the road in the late 1990s and was acquired by the seller in 2024. This XKE Series I roadster project is now offered at no reserve with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate and a clean Indiana title in the seller’s name.

The Series I E-Types were equipped with covered headlights and taillights mounted above the chrome rear bumpers. This example came finished in Cream, and additional equipment includes a black soft top, a louvered clamshell hood, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, a driver-side mirror, triple windshield wipers, and dual exhaust outlets. The paint is faded and cracked, and there is rust and body filler in the rockers along with rust on the hood.

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl along with multi-color shag fabric covering the floors, door panels, and dash. Interior appointments include black vinyl dash trim, a sliding rearview mirror, a Pioneer cassette radio, and a heater.

The three-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket lace-up cover and frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 43k miles.

The replacement 4.2-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors and was factory rated at 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque. It is unknown when the car was last running or serviced.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace certificate shows the original colors and drivetrain numbers as well as the build and dispatch dates.
