Stunning concourse level restoration
Just 92 miles since completion
This truly stunning early 1967 Series I E-Type began life in New York State in 1967, the car remained in the US until our vendor imported the car six years ago after an exhaustive search for a particularly good, dry chassis. Supplied with the Heritage Certificate which stated that this car was supplied in green, the car was shipped back to the UK to begin what ended up being a complete concourse level restoration. The restoration included a bare metal repaint in British Racing Green and resulted in a fantastic finish and what are near perfect shut lines as a result of such a good chassis to begin with.
During the restoration the car was fully converted to right hand drive (including the wiper settings) and trimmed in a beautiful tan leather with a new mohair hood, the works were all carried out by Aldridge Trim. Inspecting this car was a joy and viewing is highly recommended to appreciate the quality of the finish, having completed just 92 miles since its finish, the vendor informs us that the car runs fabulously which is testament to the full rebuild on the 1966 period 4.2 litre engine (the original block is available). The cost of the restoration would have been well in excess of £100,000 and the cost of the original car over £65,000 but sadly due to work commitments our vendor is regrettably no longer able to drive and enjoy this wonderful example of British motoring heritage. Viewing is strongly advised so not to miss out on what is a very well-priced, fully restored Series I roadster.
