Car was purchased in 2003 from Matthew L Degarmo ( Norwalk Ct) who was acting as broker for the second owner ,Del Auray. The original owners , Ron and Ann Jarrett sold the car in 1994 to MotorCars Inc , who then sold it to Mr. Auray ,a resident of Bridgeport Ct. The original owners purchased the car in 1967 at the New York Auto Show and took delivery of the car at Henley's in London England . They drove it through Europe during the summer of 1968 , logging 4000 miles. The car was then loaded on a ship in Lisbon, Portugal , and shipped to New York.
When the Jarrett's sold the car in 1994 it was apparently in very good original condition. Mr. Auray then did a significant amount of work on the car ( mechanicals, engine re-build, new interior , engine detailing , partial re-painting of some body panels , new stainless wire wheels and tires, replacement or re-furbishing of all chrome trim) . The original wire wheels and knockoffs are still with the car and are in excellent condition.
Th car runs and looks great!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
