hendersonauctions.bidwrangler.com/ui/auctions/81168/8395147
Auction description:
#1033 • 1965 JAGUAR E-TYPE
This 4.2 liter (252 cu.in) six develops 320HP @ 5300 RPM. It benefits from porting and free flowing manifolds as well as the competition suspension and 7 Inch wheels with 225/60 radial tires. A competition Griffin electric assisted aluminum radiator keeps coolant under 70 degrees Celsius in warm weather. Top speed is 160 MPH and it corners like a modern car, but it has comfortable grand touring ride. Acceleration is 5.9 sec 0-60 MPH. The body was stripped to bare metal and painted by Mercedes-Benz factory paint master painters. The engine was built by a master racing mechanic and has only been driven 300 miles since the rebuild. The wiring harness was recently replaced. Odometer showing 17777 Miles. Requested invitation from Chattanooga Concours and the Hilton Head Concours twice with opportunities for each again. This vehicle will sell at a public auction on Saturday, June 25th. Location: Barber Motorsports Museum in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.
