Ebay item 8/10/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CALIFORNIACLASSIX-1965-Jaguar-E-Type-Coupe-46-PIX-/16063 ...
Current bid $17,255 reserve not met, 11 bids 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
VIN *1E31533*
Like all cars built before extensive corrosion protection from the factory became the norm, the E-Type is apt to be afflicted by the dreaded rust cancer. Not so this one! Spending one's life in the mild California climate has its benefits, and we are proud to report that this blue-license-plate Jag's underbelly does not have any rust, nor did it need any rust repair, ever. Since the structural integrity of a unibody/monocoque vehicle is of utmost importance, this fine specimen will score highly with any serious collector. Note original Golden Sand paint on subframe rails.
Stunning Opalescent Red coachwork displays very good panel fit; it was repainted many moons ago. While it shows some touch-ups and a few blems here and there, the finish has held up admirably and looks very attractive. All the brightwork is complete and in good to excellent condition.
Original bucket seats have recently been expertly and correctly re-finished and sport unmarked, supple black leather.
A new, light grey wool fabric headliner has just been fitted at considerable expense; it looks fantastic.
The trunk floor is healthy and rust free.
The car comes with a clear California Certificate of Title. It was sold new in 1966 in California and is titled as a 1966.
