Ebay item 6/30/12

Car has a buy it now price of $39,500 for 6 days. 64k miles.

Sellers description:
We are pleased to offer this attractive and rare 1968 Jaguar Series 1.5 Coupe. This car is the original color combination of Primrose with Black interior. This is more of an original type of car that has been very well maintained over the years. It has newer paint and newer carpet and seat covers. In addition this car is a great driver with some really nice driving upgrades such as, a gear reduction starter, electronic ignition, Koni shocks and cool cat fans with an upgraded radiator for better cooling. Furthermore, this car does have Air Conditioning from the factory. The engine is strong with great compression of 145psi to 155psi across all cylinders. This great car comes with a Daimler Trust certificate to verify all numbers match and original color combination, as well as invoices for recent work that has been over the prior ownership.

Paint/body: The paint is nice and looks like it was redone not too long ago. The body is straight as well. The area under the front bumper has some smaller bumps from curbs and wear.

Chrome: The chrome bumpers do look like they were redone or are newer. The rest of the chrome is good to very good condition.

Interior: The interior is in really nice shape. The seat covers were recently recovered and new carpeting was installed. The rest of the interior is in good condition showing minimal wear.

Wheels/Tires: The tires have good life left on them. The chrome wheels are not brand new, but still look very nice on the car.

Underside/floors: The underside of this car is solid. The floors are solid underneath. New bushings were installed not too long ago.

Engine Compartment: The engine compartment looks like it is in mostly original condition. The frame rails under the bonnet match the exterior color of the car as they should.

Overall: This is a nice driver level car that has been well taken care of. While it is not a show car, it can used as a nice example of a driver to enjoy in a desirable year. These Jaguar E-type Coupes have been appreciating in value and 1968 is a very desirable. This car is priced well for its condition and is a great investment!

This automobile is available for inspection in Cornelius, NC.
