For Sale Oct 17 2006 as salvage. Vehicle apparently destroyed in a fire. Totally enveloped in an attractive rust-colored hue not discernible as an original Jaguar color

Auction description:
Auction is a 1968 Jaguar XKE. This is a used vehicle that will be sold with a salvaged title, as is no warranty. The Jaguar is powered by a inline 6 with a manual transmission. This Jaguar was involved in a vehicle fire so this XKE does not run or drive. Because of the fire i was not able to find the milage for the vehicle. Besides the fire the only real damage to the body of the vehicle is a dent to the front of the hood, and the roof also has a dent in it as well. The body of the car is still straight so besides the damage listed there are no dings or dents to the rest of the body so this vehicle has the potential to make a great parts car. The interior of the vehicle suffered fire damage as well. The carpet, seats, and the dash are all burned but the frames are not bent nor do they have any holes so they could be rebuilt with a little bit of work. There is also no holes to the floor boards of the vehicle so reusing the floor would not be an impossible task. You will have to look past the fire damage on this vehicle to see that this Jaguar will be a great parts car or a great classic Jaguar to fix up and drive some day.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
