Sellers description:

Lot 133 - 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II 4.2 Litre Roadster

Estimate: €120,000 - €150,000

Registration Number: EU Taxes Paid

Chassis Number: 1R11841

This matching numbers LHD 4.2 Litre Roadster left the factory assembly line on the 8th December 1969 and was distributed by British Leyland New York and dispatched on the 4th February 1970.

Having undergone a recent sympathetic restoration by the Byrnes Motor Trust under the watchful eye of Gavin King, who is a a multiple concours winner across 2 continents, this car now presents as nicely as it did when it left the assembly line in 1969, in Carmen Red with Black leather upholstery, this represents a fantastic opportunity to purchase a restored and beautiful example of one of the finest ever designed and engineered motorcars. With new MOT and recent service and re-tune for the European climate, this car is now ready to go.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
