Excellent, reliable driver. Body and interior restored 20 years ago. Engine, transmission, differential, front suspension, rear suspension, cooling system all professionally rebuilt within the last 4 years/ 4000 miles. Rebuilt original wire wheels w/stainless steel spokes and Goodyear 205/75 tires w/ 60% tread. This has been my personal car for the last 20 years. Includes factory hardtop, and factory airconditioning unit (has been removed from vehicle).

Opening bid $37,900 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
On this pretty red roadster, triple Weber carburetors were installed (at considerable expense) by a previous owner interested in enhancing power delivery and torque across the engine's RPM range. Minilite alloy wheels fitted with wider tires were also added to improve handling while giving the car a much more muscular and performance-oriented appearance. The body, drivetrain, suspension and interior are all in very good condition and ready to be driven and enjoyed. This beautiful E-Type is a true British classic ready for spirited driving or leisurely Sunday drives.

    Sellers descirption:
    Location: Stratford, Connecticut, United States
Description: 1970 Jaguar Series II E-Type Roadster

Not a show car, but a superior example of the Jaguar Series II E Type whose evolutionary history resulted in a much better, more adaptable, comfortable and reliable Jaguar.

Specifically, this example seen here is an unrestored, but modified 1970 E-Type. The wheels have been changed along with the carburetors. Triple Webbers have been adapted to the 4.2-liter engine, which adds a noticeable increase in power. The interior and paint are showing signs of their originality, but wouldn't be considered unacceptable. Recently, the car had a complete top-end overhaul. This is a good example for those who are not looking for a show car, but more of a "toy" that they can drive and not be afraid of.

    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-Jaguar-E-Type-OTS-Gorgeous-Strong-Running-Carmen-Re ...
Current bid $30,100 reserve not met, 12 bids 3 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Santa Barbara, California.

    Sellers description:
Offered for sale is a gorgeous, incredibly strong running 1970 Jaguar E-Type OTS Roadster finished in timeless Carmen Red over Black. This example is exceedingly presentable, with deep and lustrous paint, an excellent body and its original, roaring, triple Weber carbureted 4.2L engine.

Marred only by the most minimal of imperfections (none of them significant enough to appear in the pictures), the car's finish is excellent. The body is free of dings, waves or evidence of accidents and all of the panels fit exceptionally well. The irregular gap showing in the pictures of the trunk has since been rectified with a slight adjustment, making all of the gaps wonderfully consistent. All of the chrome is in great original condition, as is the glass and rubber. The car has brand new chrome knock-off wire wheels wrapped in brand new tires. The car's interior is equally as clean with original seats and interior panels showing only minimal wear for their 42 years of service. The carpets and dash are also in good shape and the car has a new canvas soft top (in our opinion far superior to the original vinyl top) as well as its original boot cover.

The engine starts effortlessly, idles consistently and pulls with incredible, grin inducing force under acceleration. Triple Weber carburetors are a popular conversion from the original SUs, offering much more reliability and power, especially noticeable out of this car's quad exhaust. The transmission shifts flawlessly, the car drives and brakes straight and it is an utter joy to drive, whether tooling around town or driving up the coast for the weekend.

This is not a show car, but as the pictures show it is an exceedingly presentable, beautiful and honest weekend driver or garage queen. If you're in the market, this car deserves your serious consideration.

Thanks for your interest. GOODMAN REED MOTORCARS.
