    Private Party Or Dealer: Dealer

This 1969 Jaguar XKE 2+2 is finished in British Racing Green over tan leather and is said to have been purchased out of Kentucky by the current owner in 2000. The car is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six equipped with three SU carburetors and paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes chrome-finished wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, and a Kenwood AM/FM cassette stereo system, and mechanical updates are said to include rebuilds of the cylinder head and rear suspension as well as the installation of an electric fuel pump, spin-on oil filter adapter, and an electronic ignition. This Series II 2+2 is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment with a jack, wheel-removal hardware, spare parts, service records dating back to the 2000s, and transferable New York registration.

This example was refinished in British Racing Green during previous ownership according to the seller, and rust is visible on the rear wheel arches and left rocker panel as depicted in the gallery below. The 2+2 model featured a 105″ wheelbase, and the Series II was equipped with a larger front grille than earlier models as well as repositioned and larger front indicators and tail lights mounted below the bumpers.

Chrome-finished wheels with matching hubcaps are mounted with older 15″ Yokohama tires. Braking is managed by four-wheel discs, and the seller notes a clicking sound emitted from the right-front wheel during heavy braking.

Cabin finishes include tan leather upholstery accompanied by color-coordinated door panels and interior trim. The car is equipped with lap belts for the front and rear occupants, and a Kenwood AM/FM cassette radio is mounted in the center stack. Wear is visible on portions of the switchgear and seat upholstery.

The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of factory Smiths instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, and an analog clock and other auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 93k miles, approximately 27k of which have been added by the current owner.

The 4.2 liter inline-six features a trio of SU side-draft carburetors and is paired with a four-speed manual transmission. According to the seller, the car has been updated with a rebuilt cylinder head from Coventry West of Lithonia, Georgia as well as the installation of an electric fuel pump, spin-on oil filter adapter, electronic ignition, and sealed lower front ball joints. Records are said to show that the rear suspension assembly and master cylinder were rebuilt in 2019, and the brake booster was replaced at that time. The seller notes an oil leak.

Materials accompanying the vehicle include a jack, wheel-removal tools, spare and removed parts, and service records.
