Ebay item 12/11/06 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1969-Jaguar-Series-II-E-Type-XKE-Roadster_ ...
Current bid $21,100, no reserve, 10 bids, 6 days left in auction. Complete VIN on this car is J691R7996
Sellers description:
I’ve owned this very original “California Black Plate” car since 1988. It’s provided many pleasurable short evening and weekend drives. There are just under 85,000 miles on the odometer, believed to be the correct mileage. For the time I’ve owned the car, it’s always been garaged and only driven in clear Southern California weather.
The car is Old English White with a Tan interior. The convertible top and the full tonneau cover are also Tan. Both interior and exterior are in good original shape. There are some body imperfections, some small nicks, the worst being two paint chips, one on the bonnet and one over the right rear fender. While in generally good shape, the interior dashboard has a couple cracks and there is some discoloration on carpets and other interior components. There is a small tear in the convertible top.
The car runs well. The original drive train, including Series II intake parts, has matching numbers. Body 1R7996, Engine 7R3231-9, Gear Box KE4637.
When I bought the car, I changed out the steering wheel and removed the luggage rack along with some other chrome parts. All of these parts, including badge bars, etc., come with your purchase, except for the luggage rack which I’ve been unable to locate. The car does not have a radio.
This is a classic car, sold as-is, with clear California title, no warranty.
