Right hand drive UK supplied car, same owner since 1987, 34 years. Delivered new on 5th October 1972 by Bolton Motors with registration number ATJ91L. It originally left the factory in Sable but the last owner had it completely colour changed in 1988 to Dark Blue, which included engine out to paint the bulkhead and frame. Little is known about its history from 1972 to 1984 when it had passed though two owners, with the current owner from 1987 to 2021. The car has only covered a few thousand miles in the last 15 years. There are MoTs from every year from 1985 to 2022, with the current MoT expiring in September 2022.
Chrome is good, the paintwork over 30 years old. Whilst it still has a good shine, the primer has shrunk under the paint causing cracking in the top coat, particularly evident in the rear wings and boot lid. The interior is original and good, the hood is good but faded. It has the optional steel wheels from new. Underneath is very solid and rust free. Driven for 35 miles from where collected, all gauges are working, oil pressure remained constant and the temperature remained in the correct margin, not getting hot. It will need a new gearbox mounting brush as there was movement. The brakes operated fine. Overall a very usable E Type at a sensible price.
