This stunning righthand drive Series III has only covered 9,800 miles from new. It was purchased by Mr. J. M. McPherson in February 1975 and kept until October of the same year when he took delivery of his new XJS, he had only covered about 4,500 miles in the ten months of his ownership. The next owner Mr. Joy James Cook purchased the car at the end of October 1975, he was an avid enthusiast of the E-Type and owned two other examples. We are told that he genuinely used the 4.2 litre, old English white roadster leaving his two V12 roadsters in the garage. In 2001, with his health failing, he bequeathed this V12 E-type to the current vendor while in his employment; it had covered just 9,400 miles. Mr Cook passed away in 2004 and the ownership passed to the seller. Included in the history file there is a Statutory Declaration from Mr Cook's solicitors confirming the change of ownership along with confirmation that they knew of this car in the early 1980's and that it had only covered 6,000 miles at that time. Also in the history file are a number of old MoT test certificates and insurance valuation certificates which also confirm the low mileage of this car. Finished in Azure Blue with tan leather interior, this V12 roadster has recently been re-commissioned and been the subject of an extensive valet which has brought this car to better than showroom condition. This stunning roadster is supplied with a V5C registration document, old registration documents, an MoT test certificate which expires in July 2015, the original handbook and service book and history file. It is a unique, low mileage example of which Enzo Ferrari called "The most beautiful car ever made"...
