Current bid $22,000 reserve not met 1 bids 6 days left in auction. 68k miles.

Sellers description:
1971 Jaguar XKE "E-Type" Series III V-12 Coupe

Rust Free Sable Body with an Impeccable Saddle Leather Interior - numbers matching car

· Includes original manual, sales brochure, records, etc. - sales brochure used Sable color coupe for pictures

· V-12 engine with automatic transmission

· Colors are Sable with Saddle leather interior

· Chrome wire wheels with like new Michelin radial tires

· Original matching numbers car, no accidents, no rust through ever - very nice finish with some small touch ups from garage nicks

· Runs very smooth, drives and shifts fine - very tight drive line and suspension

· Nice oil pressure at around 60 lbs. - electronic ignition upgrade to the dependable REOPUS II system

Always stored inside - never driven in winter or bad weather - while stored, the car was periodically started and driven.

Mileage shows 102K but has less, Speedo was changed with used one - documented correct miles are around 68K as told by previous owner - California speedometer company said they can correct the speedometer.

I encourage buyers to physically look at this car if possible before bidding. It is located in the Chicago land area.

Before driving a long trip, I advise buyer to have the car looked over for any maintenance needs since it has been stored periodically.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
