Ebay item 3/26/06
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1971-Jaguar-E-type-Roadster-VERY-correct-r ...
Current bid $15,100, reserve not met, 9 bids, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This E-type was one of the last approximately 150 6 cylinder E-types built. It has only 47,763 miles from new. It has been in Tucson since 1974. It was part of a collection here until 1989 when the collection was sold off and the car was purchased and restored by our sister company, British Car Service, to very exacting specifications. It was subjected to a body-off restoration with great attention paid to detail, even the original fasteners were cleaned and replated as original rather than replaced. It is as correct as an unrestored car and as pretty as a new one.

It was finished in the mid-nineties and sold locally. It has had only about 2000 miles put on it since restoration and was kept in a climate controlled garage. While the restoration is not fresh, the car is in perfect running order and is still beautiful thoughout.

The drive train was in excellent condition due to the low original miles and was therefore merely resealed during the restoration.

It runs and drives beautifully and of course the Series II cars are considered the most comfortable and pleasant driving of all E-types.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
