Ebay item 3/17/07 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-roadster-1970-series-2-roadster-in-exc ...
Current bid $10,000 reserve not met, 1 bid, 6 days left in auction.
Selllers description:
This is an extremely nice numbers matching series 2 e-type roadster that went through a complete restoration several years ago. The body is totally rust free and straight. The Primrose paint is very nice as is the black leather interior. Black canvas top is new. Chrome was redone and is in very good condition as are the wire wheels. The original 6 cylinder engine runs very good with excellent oil pressure (40+ psi). The engine compartment is very clean and proper. Very good tires and wire wheels. Clutch, gearbox and brakes are working properly. All gauges are in working order.
Includes owner's manual, jack in bag, knock off hammer and special knock off tool
This is about as nice an e-type you will find without getting into the realm (and price) of a show trailer queen. Series 2 cars are considered by many as the best all around driving Jaguar e-type with their superior brakes, cooling system and seats. It makes no financial sense to buy an average condition XKE for $25K - $35K and restore it to the level of this car. You will end up spending MUCH more than my reserve price. I have been collecting Jaguar e-type for close to 25 years, and this is the nicest series 2 car I have owned.
