Ebay item 1/31/06
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-SERIES-1-1963-XKE-ROADSTER-OUT-OF-STOR ...
Current bid $7,200, no reserve, 8 bids, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1963 Jaguar xke 3.8 Litre roadster. All the very desirable Series 1 Jaguars include the 3.8 Litre engine, triple carbs & the covered headlights. I found this car less than a year ago, tucked away in storage for many years. I have come to the conclusion that I have too many other projects underway to get this Jag on the road again. Restoration had been started on this car, including new front & rear floors, although it was never finished. This is a perfect project for someone. This car comes with a good Florida title. Car does not run or drive presently.
CONDITION :
* Car # 879884
* Mileage: 55,000. I believe this is correct.
* Engine: Car was sitting for years; Assume engine will need rebuilt. Engine does not run presently.
* Gearbox: Unknown condition.
* Clutch: Pedal goes to floor. It will probably need bled or rebuilt.
* Brakes: Pedal goes to floor. They will probably need rebuilt.
* Floors: New front & rear floors, looks like they need finished (need to be welded in), and they need finished underneath where floors & rockers meet. They are rough looking right now. Some rust is in cockpit area of car, and behind seats.
* Body: Paint looks good but not perfect. It has some paint chips; imperfections scratches & bondo apparent. There is some inner rust in rockers. Past owner told me that the car was bumped on passenger rear fender back years ago. There is bondo in rear fenders, trunk area, rockers, and under front valance.
* Windshield: Cracked in one area.
* Interior: Needs all new interior.
* Chrome: Chrome is in fair shape.
* Wires: Needs replaced.
* Tires: Need replaced.
* Missing parts list: Jack & Hammer, Manuals, Air cleaner snorkel assembly, gas tank , fuel pump, trunk lid release assembly.
* Spare tire: Yes, included.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
