According to the Jaguar Heritage Archive, this E Type in opalescent silver blue was delivered to company Fendler and Ludemann in Hamburg on 8th September 1964. It was registered there on 6th November 1964. The Jag went to the second owner in Gunzburg in Bavaria in July 1969. According to the paperwork , there were three further owners in Augsburg, where the consignor acquired the vehicle on 18th January 1975 with about 88,000 kms on the clock. The purchase contract explicitly shows that the motor had been newly restored about 5,000 kms earlier.

The E Type has been registered to the vendor since 15th June 1975! Invoices and all TUV are available since that time. The Jag was restored in 1987. The body was repaired and painted Morgan Green, and the interior was largely renewed. A logbook has been kept since 1981 at 108,000 kms. It tells of trips and maintenance work, reflecting the life of the car. After a good 40 years, this dream sports car is being sold. Because the consignor had other classic cars and only drove during nice weather, the car has only done 26,000 kms in all these years - and only by the consignor. This 'E' is a really honest car with a great resume that puts it far above the rest.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
