car fore sale on eBay 02/08/2012 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Pro condition: The engine and head was rebuilt in the early 90's with a bigger cam, stainless steel header. The carbs too were rebuilt and machined. Engine starts and runs great with probably less than 20k miles on rebuild. The transmission is standard Moss. New ball joints. New rear shocks. New 2010 Dunlop tires. New windshield and new rubber kit in early 90's. Interior is 90's new original fabric, uninstalled 90's new Conley leather seats, currently nice leatherette seats are installed. The radiator is some kind of brass unit. The header tank too is brass rather than stock. The car is a California car all its life but for a storage in Virginia from early 90's to 2010. In 2010 it was driven from Virginia to California.
Con condition: The paint is cracked lacquer. The front of the hood is dented, and on the side too with some repair. The driver door has minor dent. The car has little rust, although the battery box floor is foam in a bag. The battery box bulkheads seem OK, and a stock metal battery floor stamping is including with car. The brakes work but they need a bleeding and possible other work, although the power brake was rebuilt in 2010. The calipers are pitted inside but with new rubber, and seem not to leak. The lower master cylinder is missing the exterior boot. The brake fluid containers are ugly, and the rubber supply hoses should be replaced. The steering column fabric bushings are loose, and the steering rake may have up and down play. The door glass of driver and passenger is scratched from sand in the fabric and rubber trim. The oil gauge shows 80lbs with ignition on and engine NOT running. The water gauge and charge gauge work. The generator was replaced with a alternator from chevy luv truck with the stock Jag voltage regulator. I think fuel gauge works, since I do not remember having a problem driving across the country with it. Some electrical connections, slip connectors have in the past needed to be crushed down to make a tighter and less resistive and less heat producing connection. These were the ignition switch and the connection to the fuel pump near the pump. The car has a second aftermarket in series fuel pump. Turn signal is broken. The cooling fan is stock, and makes noise.
History: This car has been in the same family since 1979.
