The numbers provided for this car are for a 3.8L Left hand drive coupe circa '62, however are registered to this car. It was said that the data plate appeared to be original and the matching VIN was stamped into the picture frame. Any information about this anomaly would be appreciated, please contact the webmaster.

885842 is mentioned in Haddocks with this engine #, The gearbox and body #s are period correct as provided in the E Bay Listing. Yes, 885842 is a 3.8 SWB 62 FHC. The pictured is NOT the car simple as that. The car depicted in the photos is a 4,2 LWB 2+2. 8) Scam here? Possibly uploaded the wrong pictures.

I own an original picture frame with 885842 stamped into it. I bought it a week ago from a Jaguar used parts vendor. It's for a 1962 E-Type Coupe and is in pretty good shape (small dent), so I wonder why someone wouldn't want to keep it with their original car.
