33,500 miles, on ebay 01/08 seller writes:
1974 Original Survivor Series III Xke Roadster This car has an interesting history. She started out belonging to a Senior VP of Philip Morris in the 70s. Then its second owner purchased the car in ‘83. This Jaguar has remained in that same family since. I purchased this car last year from my good friend that was willed the car from his father the 2ND owner. It is very rare to find one of these in their original unmolested state with so few owners. You are also welcome to inspect the car in person. With only 33,500 original two family owner miles before me, this is one of the cleanest and most unmolested examples of a California driven XKE Roadster that you will ever find. The color is Sable and I am accepting offers. It drives great and I have even included a few videos. I have personally driven this car 95 miles an hour down the 55 Freeway and boy does she fly. The car will also come with a full tank of fuel, the original Tonneau cover, and a box of miscellaneous receipts and parts. Recent work done to the car: New completely rebuilt brakes at the cost of about 3500 dollars New Stainless steel exhaust system cost of about 1500 dollars Fuel system has been cleaned including the tank and the fuel lines cost about 700 dollars I also had the car professionally detailed; about 2000 dollars worth of work was performed in polishing and cleaning the car. There are a few things not in the right place with this car but nothing major. The air cleaners need to be replaced. Even though this car comes with the factory air conditioner, I am not sure what happened to the large fan that is usually mounted to the side of the left bank of carbs. Also the rain trays need to be reinstalled. No spare wheel or tire. I did purchase some new vents for the A/C at a whopping 95 dollars apiece but have not installed them. This is as original as I can make the car. There is also some surface rust but no major rust in the engine compartment. I left it this way because I did not want it to look as If I was hiding or covering anything. The car is located in Costa Mesa, California. Please only call me if you are very serious.
