Ebay item 3/21/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-SERIES-III-CONVERTIBLE-1974-JAGUAR-SHO ...
Opening bid $28,900, no reserve, no bids yet 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
ALL ORIGINAL PARTS, RESTORED, 12 CYLINDER JAGUAR CONVERTIBLE. AUTOMATIC WITH A/C. THE BODY HAD A FULL REPAINT IN 2000, AND THE CAR IS STORED IN A HEATED GARAGE. THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION WERE REMOVED AND GONE THROUGHT, WITH ALL NEW SEALS. ALL BASIC CAR PARTS ARE ORIGINAL, MINUS THE LEATHER SEATS, TOP, BOOT COVER, AND TIRES. I HAVE FULLY DOCUMENTED OWNERSHIP AND MILEAGE FROM NEW. THE CAR WAS APPRAISED AND GRADED IN 2004 AND THIS CAN BE FAXED UPON REQUEST. THE NUMBERS WERE ALL PRIMARELY #1 WITH A FEW +2. THE INTERIOR HAS HAD THE SWITCH BEZELS REDONE SINCE, AND A FEW MINOR PARTS TO UPGRADE.

I HAVE PLACED A NIPON STARTER IN IT ( I HAVE ORIGINAL) AND NEW FRONT SUSPENSION RUBBER. ALSO REPLACED CHROME OVER FRONT EYEBROW. CAR SHOWS EXCELLENT AND STARTS ON FIRST TRY AFTER STORAGE, I JUST DO NOT GET TO DRIVE IT ENOUGH. IT HAS A FOUR OUTLET STAINLESS EXHAUST, ORIGINAL WIRE WHEELS WITH KNOCK OFFS (INCL. SPARE). A/C LAST USED 2005 SO I AM SURE IT NEEDS A CHARGE(I HAD IT CHARGED THEN)

THE CAR LOOKS GREAT AND PANEL FIT AND ALIGNMENT IS EXCELLENT (PROBABLY BETTER THAN NEW)

THE WINDSHIELD BEING ORIGINAL HAS A LIGHT WIPER MARK NEAR THE TOP. IN ADDITION THE REAR SEAL ON ENGINE HAS A SLIGHT DRIP, DUE TO LACK OF DRIVING AND TIME TO SEAT. DISIPATES WHEN DRIVEN. I WANT TO GIVE FULL DISCLOSURE AND WOULD PREFER NEW OWNER PICK UP CAR IN PERSON TO EXAMINE.

Car returns to ebay 4/12/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1974-Jaguar-Roadster-XKE-E-Type-WOW-Gorgeo ...
Current bid $25,100 reserve not met, 9 bids 8 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Beverly Hills, California.

Sellers description:
1974 Jaguar E-type OTS Roadster. This beautiful E-type also comes with rare Air conditioning and chrome wire wheels. It has only 34,000 original miles, it also comes with all the documentation of all the owners of the car and copies of the titles. As well as that, it also comes with over $28,000 in restoration receipts!!

This beautiful E-type looks incredible from every angle. The red paint looks like glass and is very nice, all the chrome is amazing!! This car has a beautiful eye catching color combination which really makes it a unique piece! This combination is very sought after and hard to come by. The leather interior is very nice, so is the convertible top too. The Leather seats look outstanding... The leather feels very soft. The gauge cluster looks nice and clean and the dash is in great condition too. The original jack and a spare also come with the car.

Mechanically, this '74 V12 runs and drives great. It has a smooth running V12. As my pictures show under the hood of this car looks great. It features a detailed motor compartment and looks completely factory original. The automatic transmission shifts nice and smooth. The car drives straight it feels tight going down the road and if you give it some gas it really takes off. The car always starts right up and has plenty of power...

This '74 Roadster is a rare find! Especially being in such beautiful condition, and an amazing color combination. This car was obviously well taken care of over the years and garage kept. This car has the best of everything and is ready to drive or show and enjoy right now. The car is located in beautiful Beverly Hills, CA.

Previous auction received no bids.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
