Running but not driving, covered headlight model, very desirable English factory sunroof, series 2 bonnet, needs brake service.

History
The later model E-types are so identified by the 4.2-liter engine and the new, all-synchro 4-speed gearbox introduced by Jaguar in 1965. These new XKEs had thicker, more comfortable seats, a glove box, and arm rests. The dash center panel and console top were covered in fabric, the dash panel in black, the console to match the upholstery.

Restoration update 5/11
This restoration is expected to be complete by the end of May, 2011. Included in the restoration process already completed, the vehicle was stripped to bare metal, placed on a rotisserie, metal finished, leaded, all body parts were fitted to the car and chrome, it was prepared for primer, sealer, paint, base, clear, color sanded and buffed to a fabulous finish. All systems have been gone through and the engine was rebuilt back to factory specifications. The transmission, clutch system, hydraulic system was restored and the car received all new rubber and a complete new wire loom. All of the chrome was re-plated. To complete the restoration, the car will receive a complete new custom tailored and fit interior in the correct materials by our upholstery department. A DVD of the restoration process will accompany the vehicle. Upon completion of the restoration this Jaguar will be an excellent example to drive, enjoy and compete in shows.
