Sellers description:
Alan Carrington Classic Cars Ltd

Special order Opalescent dark blue with light tan leather, this Personal Export car was delivered to a Doctor in Nairobi, Kenya on 21st December 1965 and is an original RHD factory car, the car is very solid and is MOT until 04/03/15, It drives well, however it could do with a light cosmetic restoration, it has a new radio tower & centre consul which need to be trimmed, the door panels are missing, it has all new brakes, new rear shocks, S/S Exhaust, the engine is strong and pulls well, the Syncro gearbox is working perfectly, there is a Heritage Certificate and number matching cylinder head, odometer showing 88,000 miles believed correct. This car has now been removed from sale, as my company is carrying out a total "Nut & Bolt" restoration to my usual show standard, it will be completed by the start of the season next year 2015 as it left Browns Lane ! Including some nice modern upgrades

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
