Ebay item 6/14/12 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968-Jaguar-XKE-FHC-Series-1-5-A-WELL-RESTORED-S-MATCHIN ...
Car has a buy it now price of $64,500 for 6 days.
Sellers description:
Delivered new as a Primrose over Black example in March of 1968 to it's first NJ Owner, this XKE remained a very original and solid example until the early 1990's when a comprehensive restoration was completed by marque specialists Jaguar Restorations of Limerick, PA. A shop owned and run at that time by Reggie Ray, a well known Jaguar expert. Since then, car has accumulated about 12,779 miles and has been shown consistently since; winning many concours and driver class awards at various British and Jaguar events including a few JCNA events.
It was finished to very high standards and included being completely disassembled down to the monocoque and rebuilt both mechanically and cosmetically from the ground up. The only minor changes that have been completed that could be argued as incorrect would be the integration of a modern stereo (tastefully completed), Headers, and the Cylinder head has been accessorized as a series one cylinder head. All rubber components, trim, and chrome are in excellent condition throughout. This car has been stored properly and very well maintained since the restoration. All gaps and shut lines are great, with a very clean undercarriage and rockers.
Overall this car reflects a very clean, well restored older restoration of a Series 1.5 FHC in good colors with great pedigree. A turnk key show goer and a great opportunity to own one of the best Series 1.5's out there.
