This 1968 FHC is known as "Enzo Sez." The two-owner car spent 40 years in Connecticut, most recently as a highly pampered vehicle owned by a good friend of Motorcars Incorporated. Before any work began at our shop, this was a fantastic vehicle running well with absolutely no rust, a good example of what Enzo Ferrari himself called, "The most beautiful car in the world."
The transformation into the unique vehicle available today began by adding full steel wide-body rear quarter wings, which were custom fabricated in England as one of the first sets made for any FHC. Enzo Sez started a trend that many cars all over the world would follow. On this car, the rear suspension was redesigned to accommodate the proper wider rear track as well as to match the new design and massive special, custom-made Dunlop two-piece wheels. The front bonnet was treated with Ferrari-type pilot ray fog lamps and a floating motif in the air mouth inlet. In fact, Enzo Sez has the first floating motif bar on a bumper-less bonnet. This small but beautiful design was later copied by a well-known company that builds bespoke E-Types.
Enzo Sez retained the original engine block, with larger intake valves and high-performance cam shafts, 10:1 steel pistons, and the best components available used in the mechanical build. Enzo Sez has a custom-made alloy radiator with extra capacity and the front suspension is a modified picture frame to correct any bump steer and compensate for adjusted ride height. The transmission is a 5-speed Tremec unit, and the rear differential is a Positraction 3:54 -1 E-Type original unit.
The interior features an Alcantara headliner and custom handmade shell seats with adjustable backrests. The list goes on and on and. As a result, this car has won best in show or best in class in every show or concours where it was entered. Better than that, this car is currently registered and can be used daily and dependably. This car drives and handles like no other FHC you will ever experience: beauty and usability all in one package.
