Ebay item 7/11/08

Current bid $21,100 reserve not met, 11 bids, 9 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
From a collection in Texas. This two-owner E-Type has had one repaint, it was originally British racing green. The last owner claims that the odometer failed at 30K and he replaced it with a new one which now reads 30K. (The broken odometer is in the boot and reads 30k). Actual Mileage is unknown. The car passed the Texas inspection a little over a year ago. It starts: runs and drives well. The shifting is smooth, syncros good, suspension is fine and the brakes are operational as well. The car will need paint and interior. It looks good from 20 feet but the paint is checked. The car has solid floors and boot. The body looks pretty nice and it should be an excellent car for a cosmetic restoration. It includes the removable hardtop. This is a great value and with some TLC will only get better. Comes with a clear Texas title. There are thousands of dollars in parts included with the car.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
