52,000 miles, on ebay 10/09, seller writes: For your enjoyment, a 1974 E-Type Jaguar, that I have owned since 1987. It has been restored within the past 4 years to an excellent drivable condition. The body was stripped and repainted to the original Jaguar white. It has the original fiber glass hard top, which was also resealed and painted, and a new rear window installed with rubber seal. The soft top has been upgraded and is new and a more classy style, rather than the original vinyl type that was on the vehicle. The brake system is new, and original to the type for the model. Exhaust system is new. The engine has had a valve adjustment ("valve job") less than 1,000 miles ago, and the seals are new. The car does not leak nor use oil and runs very strong. The original Borg-Warner carbs have been converted to SU's, increasing the engine power, and gas mileage. Additionally, many of the emissions equipment parts have been eliminated, again adding to the enjoyment of the ride, and does not affect registration as the car is old enough not to require inspection or smog testing. I have all the original parts to go with the car. A new rubber kit has, obviously, been done to the car, and the seals are fine. The hard top was original to this car, and, alone, would sell for over $10,000 if added to another car. The tires and wire wheels are new with less than 500 miles on them, and about one year old. The radio has been replaced with an Eclipse AM/FM/CD stereo and front speakers have been added near the floor. Windshield and wipers are new. Body and paint are, obviously, in excellent condition as is the chrome.

Sellers description:
This vehicle is on display and available for purchase at our Benicia Showroom. One model sums up British sports cars and that is the Jaguar E-type, or as it's known in the US, the XKE. This 1974 Jaguar beautifully restored is one of the finest examples of what a british 2 seater should be. Equipped with the roaring 5.3L V12 and the racy yet elegant 4 speed manual transmission you will not only look like a million bucks driving down the road, you'll feel like it as well. The classic Old English white exterior and the delectable Biscuit tan interior make this jungle cat look reserved and docile until you unleash the animalistic horsepower of the V12. And with only 52,000 original miles you'll wonder where this big cat has been hiding all these years.
